Farm for Health Africa (FHA) is proud to announce the African Agro-Health and Export Readiness Conference 2025, scheduled to take place on Thursday, 30th October 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. The conference, themed “Advancing Africa’s Health and Global Trade through Scalable Agro-Health and Export Standards,” will bring together key stakeholders to address one of Africa’s most pressing challenges; building a safer, healthier, and globally competitive agricultural sector.
The high-level event will convene farmers, exporters, government representatives, food safety agencies, certification bodies, researchers, AgriTech innovators, investors, NGOs, and consumer advocates from across the continent. Together, they will explore strategies to enhance food safety, boost export compliance, and position African agribusinesses for greater success in international markets.
Why the Conference Matters
Agriculture remains the backbone of Africa’s economy, employing more than 60% of the continent’s population. However, persistent food safety issues — including pesticide residue, microbial contamination, inadequate traceability, and non-compliance with international export standards — continue to hinder Africa’s competitiveness on the global stage. These challenges not only threaten public health but also cost the continent billions of dollars annually in rejected exports.
