PR Agency Worktainment Limited Releases Short Film “The History Of PR In Nigeria In 5 Minutes”

Obinna Inogbo, Principal PR Executive of Worktainment Limited, has announced the release of a short film on the journey of the public relations practice in Nigeria.  He wrote and produced it to document how PR started in this country, challenges and triumphs experienced along the way, and where it is today.

Inogbo noted that there has been a lot of talk about the Nigerian PR industry not doing enough PR for itself so that reason, along with capturing the profession’s history for posterity, were motivations to make the short film.

“In 2019 I decided to pursue public relations as a profession so I searched the web tirelessly for material and agencies such as BHM and Caritas had a lot published online; in fact, this short film is inspired by Adedayo Ojo, the MD of Caritas’ book on PR titled Public Relations: Thoughts & Deeds.  I told myself that when Worktainment had the resources I would create something that newbies to the industry could research on to widen their knowledge on PR in Nigeria.”

Worktainment Limited is an Ikeja, Lagos-based public relations agency birthed in 2017 as a talent management and scriptwriting company.  In 2019 it transitioned fully to a public relations agency.  The agency has had clients such as Riverlake Shipping, Propitix Homes and Kawai Technologies.
