Dr. Ahmadu Fatimah-Binta Bags Triple International Honours At UNILAG Summit

Lagos witnessed a moment of prestige and global recognition on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, as Dr. Ahmadu Fatimah-Binta emerged as one of the most celebrated figures at a distinguished summit held at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba. The Medical Director of Susamsss Hospital, Principal Consultant at S5 PR Communications Ltd, and Chief Executive Officer of HealthFeed Initiative NGO was conferred with three major international honours in recognition of her exceptional leadership, integrity, and service to humanity.

At the ceremony, Dr. Fatimah-Binta received an honorary Doctor of Personnel and Human Resource Management degree (Honoris Causa) from Highstone Global University, Texas, USA. The award followed a rigorous recommendation process by the university’s faculty and approval by its Board of Directors, in recognition of her outstanding professional excellence, leadership capacity, and far-reaching impact across both private and public sectors.

She was also honoured with the Leadtimes Africa Grand African Leadership Prize for Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in Service by Leadtimes Africa. The award celebrated her meritorious contributions to ethical leadership, nation-building, and community development. In further affirmation of her enduring influence, Dr. Fatimah-Binta was inducted into the Leadtimes Africa Hall of Fame for 2025, recognising her exceptional work in healthcare advocacy, strategic communication, humanitarian service, and stakeholder engagement.

In a press statement credited to Professor Buba S. Mshelia, Advisory Board Chairman of Leadtimes Africa Magazine and Co-Convener of the ceremony, the honours were described as strictly merit-based, devoid of bias or prejudice. He explained that awardees were carefully selected based on demonstrable impact, integrity, and sustained service across diverse professional fields.

Dr. Fatimah-Binta’s recognition stood out as a reflection of her multidimensional contributions spanning healthcare delivery, public relations practice, faith-based initiatives, and humanitarian advocacy within both private and public institutions.

The summit also celebrated other eminent Nigerians. Among them was Dr. (Mrs.) Jummai Tutuwa Adamu, Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), who received the Leadtimes Africa Industrial Researcher of the Year Award for her transformative impact on Nigeria’s industrial research ecosystem. Dr. (Hon.) Uriel Ezeh, Group Managing Director of UR 9 Group, was named Leadtimes Africa Businessman of the Year for his outstanding achievements across sectors including real estate, construction, agriculture, hospitality, energy, logistics, and asset management.

Additional recipients of the Grand African Leadership Prize for Integrity, Transparency and Accountability included Dr. Azeez Abayomi Mustapha, Chief Executive Officer of AZ Logistics Ltd; Mr. QS Raheem Abdulbaki, Chief Executive Officer of the Kwara State Procurement Agency; and Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiq Mustapha, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Trade & Tech Group, who was also inducted into the Leadtimes Africa Hall of Fame and nominated as an Advisory Board Member of Leadtimes Africa Magazine.

Highstone Global University further conferred honorary doctorate degrees on distinguished Nigerians such as Princess Layo Bakare Okeowo, Chief Executive Officer of FAE Ltd, and Arc. Emmanuel Moris of the Nigeria Police Force, who received a Doctor of Risk and Security Management (Honoris Causa). Several other leaders across government, business, engineering, academia, logistics, fashion, education, and infrastructure were equally recognised for excellence, leadership, and service.

With representatives of Highstone Global University in attendance, the summit underscored its international stature and credibility. The triple honours bestowed on Dr. Ahmadu Fatimah-Binta ultimately reaffirm her growing influence as a respected professional, ethical leader, and committed servant of humanity whose impact continues to resonate locally and globally.
