The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Region 2 Ushering Department recently launched a Mega Rally across Lagos streets, aiming to align with the Vision 2032 initiative spearheaded by the General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. This ambitious vision targets growing the church’s membership to 40 million by implementing an expansive growth model, establishing 400,000 units with 100 members each across Nigeria through parish planting, upgrading existing parishes, and leveraging mobile churches.
The rally, which took place in Bariga and moved towards Gbadaga, saw a large gathering of RCCG Region 2 members. They engaged the community with hymns, songs of praise, dances, and distributed flyers, all aimed at soul-winning and expanding the church’s reach.
Yemi Lebi, the Pastor in charge of RCCG Region 2, emphasized the importance of outreach in fulfilling the church’s mission. “When someone is saved, it is critical to reach out to others to bring them into the kingdom of God. This rally is part of our well-planned efforts to reach the unsaved and bring millions into the fold,” he said. Lebi highlighted that similar activities are happening in multiple centers across Lagos to support this cause.
Pastor Lebi also noted the role of spiritual revival in addressing societal issues. “In these times of confusion and challenges, turning back to Jesus Christ can bring about the needed change in our nation. As more people commit their lives to Christ, we believe positive transformations will follow.”
Vision 2032 is a collective effort, not just for RCCG but for all to bring souls to God’s kingdom. Lebi stated, “Our target is 40 million souls, and we aim to surpass it. Through this plan, we hope to manage the stresses and difficulties of life by guiding people to Christ, who offers peace and rest.”
Deacon Taiwo Adewunmi, Chairman of Vision 2032 for Region 2 Ushering Department, further elaborated on the initiative. “Our General Overseer’s vision is to increase the church’s membership to 40 million by 2032. This will be achieved by establishing 400,000 parishes with at least 100 members each. Today’s evangelism rally is to create awareness for this explosive expansion drive.”
Adewunmi also highlighted that various departments within the church have specific roles in achieving Vision 2032. “This rally is just the beginning. Next year, we plan to hold a crusade and embark on prison and hospital evangelism to win more souls. We aim to touch more lives and expand our reach.”
Pastor Anthony Oluwajobi, Regional Head Usher for Region 2, reiterated the importance of the program. “This initiative aligns with our General Overseer’s vision and fulfills the commandment of Jesus to preach the gospel worldwide. We are committed to growing both the number of our members and our church locations.”
Oluwajobi detailed the church’s comprehensive approach to new members, including first-time visitor programs, deliverance classes, baptism, and welfare support. “The Kingdom of God is vast and welcoming. We encourage everyone to join us and witness the transformation in their lives,” he concluded.
