Rite Foods Showcases Cutting-Edge Innovation And Commitment To Excellence At Journalist-Focused Factory Tour

Rite Foods Limited, a pioneering force in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry, recently welcomed a large gathering of journalists to its state-of-the-art facility at Ososa, Ijebu Ode, on August 23, 2024. The event provided an exclusive insight into the impressive capabilities of the Rite Foods Brand Academy (RBA).

During the tour, Chief Operating Officer Dr. Kehinde Onijingin emphasized the company’s steadfast commitment to quality, innovation, and its position as a 100% indigenous leader in an industry traditionally dominated by multinationals.

“Our facility rivals the best in the world,” Onijingin stated, highlighting Rite Foods’ dedication to cutting-edge technology, top-tier processes, and exceptional product standards. “We pride ourselves on being a world-class company that is proudly Nigerian. Our success story is rooted in our legacy from Ess.ay Holdings Limited, which disrupted the West African printing industry with Phototek.”

Journalists were granted an in-depth look at Rite Foods’ advanced production lines, which include five fully automated plants capable of producing 42,000 bottles per hour with minimal human intervention. The tour showcased state-of-the-art facilities like the Krones machine and in-house preform production, reflecting Rite Foods’ substantial investment in technology and sustainable practices, with over 90% of energy generated from eco-friendly sources such as natural gas and solar power.

Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs, detailed Rite Foods’ journey from its founding in 2007 to becoming a dominant market force. “Our vision is to lead in every field of operation, focusing on growth, stability, and creating an enduring legacy. Integrity, excellence, innovation, and accountability are the cornerstones of our business, and our factory, which employs around 3,000 people, is a testament to these values.”

Boma Harrison, Head of Marketing, guided attendees through Rite Foods’ diverse product offerings. The Bigi brand, launched in 2016, has grown from six to 13 flavours, establishing itself as a household name with the tagline “Bigi for every moment.” The company’s energy drink, Fearless, introduced in 2017, now leads the market as Nigeria’s number one energy drink. The Sosa drink, launched in 2022, has swiftly become a category leader with its smooth taste and five distinct flavours.

Rite Foods’ dedication to excellence extends beyond its products to its corporate social responsibility initiatives, which focus on education, environmental stewardship, poverty alleviation, and health. As the company continues to expand and innovate, it remains committed to delivering world-class quality while staying true to its Nigerian roots.
