Recently, thirty-one (31) people again graduated from CADAM- Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry rehabilitation centre in Araga, Epe. These 28 men and 3 women have undergone treatment and rehabilitation for substance use disorder (commonly referred to as drug addiction) and are being sent back into society adequately empowered to live drug free and productive lives.
The Set 50 graduating beneficiaries of CADAM’s free one-year treatment and rehabilitation services at the Enoch and Folu Adeboye Rehabilitation Centre in Araga, Epe were provided with intensive treatment services for their drug addiction. Their stay also gave them the opportunity to acquire different vocational skills like ICT, Tailoring, Leatherworks & Shoemaking, Barbing & Hairdressing and Cookery & Home Economics. Such skills will go a long way towards ensuring they become productive citizens post rehabilitation.
The work of CADAM is supported by the Church , The Redeemed Christian Church of God ( RCCG) represented by CADAM’s Matron, Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer. Other supporters are very important people in society amongst whom are the Chairman of CADAM Board of Trustees (BOT), Mr. Tony Aletor, BOT members and the many Friends of CADAM FOC) . Also, CADAM just received an Award from Airtel through her “Touching Lives” CSR initiative.
CADAM is a faith based Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) and a CSR arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). For over 30years, CADAM has been helping people suffering from substance use disorder and providing renewed hope for as many as may be led to find succor at her doors. Over 3000 people have gone through her rehabilitation and treatment programs, most of who are living out their dream at this time.
As these 31 Beneficiaries leave today, CADAM is ever so ready to admit even more people suffering from drug abuse for another one-year program. Admission screening process for the prospective beneficiaries for Set 52 was only concluded last week.
