Cannes Lions has named Anheuser-Busch InBev its 2022 Creative Marketer of the Year.
The award, introduced in 1992, honors a marketer for demonstrating creative excellence over a significant period of time.
“We’ve been on a journey over the last five years to embed creativity into the core of our business—and this award is a humbling recognition of our progress so far, as well as a testament to the people and teams who made it happen,” Pedro Earp, AB InBev’s CMO, said in a statement.
At last year’s Cannes Lions awards, which celebrated work from 2020 and 2021, AB InBev won 40 Lions, including two Grands Prix.
The company’s Michelob Ultra Pure Gold campaign titled “Contract for Change,” which debuted in 2020 in collaboration with creative agency FCB, received the PR Grand Prix.
