
Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol, has announced the appointment of Segun Ogunleye as the Head of Marketing, Africa Partner Markets, with an additional role as Beer Lead for South, West, and Central Africa.
Segun brings over a decade of transformative marketing leadership, having played a pivotal role in driving brand growth, innovation, and category expansion at PepsiCo bottler (SBC) in Nigeria. His tenure at SBC saw him spearhead strategic marketing initiatives across Carbonated Soft Drinks (CSD), Energy, Malt, and Isotonic categories, as well as venture into the Home & Personal Care segment.
Reflecting on his transition, Segun expressed gratitude for his journey with SBC and the relationships forged over the years. “I am beyond thrilled to embark on this new chapter with Diageo. My time at SBC was an incredible learning experience, where I had the opportunity to lead iconic brands and drive game-changing innovations. I deeply appreciate the support of my SBC family, stakeholders, and partners who have contributed to my growth.”
In his new role at Diageo, Segun will be responsible for shaping and executing marketing strategies to drive growth across key African markets. He will work closely with teams to strengthen Diageo’s legacy of celebrating life, every day, everywhere, delivering compelling brand experiences that resonate with consumers.
