The Macallan partnered with WIMBIZ at its 23rd Annual Conference, themed “Dream. Dare. Do,” to inspire women to break barriers, build legacies, and lead with impact.

Women and girls make up a significant portion of the global population, totalling around three and a half billion individuals. Despite this substantial representation, gender inequality remains a widespread issue that affects every corner of the world. This persistent inequality not only restricts the rights and opportunities of women and girls but also stifles societal advancement, preventing communities from reaching their full potential. According to The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, ‘On average, women in the labour market still earn 23 per cent less than men globally and women spend about three times as many hours in unpaid domestic and care work as men’.
