The highly anticipated 2023 edition of Women in Marketing and Communications Conference/Awards (WIMCA), the largest gathering of female professionals in brands and marketing communications, will take place on Friday 17th, and Saturday 18th of November 2023 at the prestigious Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.
With the theme “Positioning for Premium Performance,” this year’s event is expected to set the conversation on digital elevation for women a nudge higher.
Commenting on plans for 2023, the convener of WIMCA and publisher of Brand Communicator, Joshua Ajayi said; “We are excited that we have remained consistent with our goal of celebrating women and elevating the impact of women in the digital space for a sustainable future. The two-day event will be an impactful and memorable one for all participants.
‘’This year, we continue with the glamour and excitement of recognizing the top 50 women marketers in Nigeria. I can visualize one of the most glamorous and prestigious recognition projects ever hosted for women in this country”, he said.
Just like last year’s event, the 2023 WIMCA is a two-day event that includes exhibitions, masterclasses, awards, and other initiatives that make the event robust, engaging, educating, exciting, and memorable for all participants.
The first day will feature several presentations during the conference as well as the exhibition. The second day will have the masterclasses plus the exhibition in the morning.
Expected speakers at the conference include Kayode Oladapo, Chief Executive Officer, West Africa, Godrej Consumer Products Limited; Tosin Adefeko, Managing Director, AT3 Resources; Victor Gbenga Afolabi, Group ECO, Hazon Holdings among others.
The awards and gala night will commence at 5 p.m on Saturday. The exhibition stands are expected to fold up at least two hours before the awards evening.
The event will also witness the recognition of “Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications” during the awards and gala night.
WIMCA is organised by Brand Communicator, a leading brand and marketing publication in West Africa.
