
FBN Holdings Plc, the holding company of Nigeria’s banking icon, FirstBank has dismissed a report of a court order stopping it to hold its Annual General Meeting schedule for August 15, 2023, saying there was nothing of such.

The group in a notice at the Nigerian Exchange signed by Adewale Arogundare, Acting Company Secretary said, “We confirm that this asserting is a false narrative as the company has, as at the date hereof, not been served with any court order to stop the forthcoming AGM.”
It hereby assured its esteemed shareholders that the AGM shall hold on as planned and “we look forward to their attendance and active participation at the meeting.”
